Inspiracją jest chińska przypowieść zatytułowana Three Laughers of the Tiger Glen, w której trzech mężczyzn pokonuje swoje sekciarskie różnice, aby znaleźć jedność przyjaźni. Ogród został zaprojektowany w surowym stylu zwanym po japońsku karesansui, w którym za pomocą układu kamieni tworzony jest obraz natury.
